The Spring Framework is an open-source application framework for Java and .NET that helps developers create scalable applications that use dependency injection.

Hibernate is the pre-eminent open-source, object-relational mapper (ORM) for Java and .NET. Hibernate provides its own native API and also implements the Java Persistence API.

This workshop teaches developers how to write Spring and Hibernate/JPA applications to access relational data.
